I started a new business back in April and have been sewing my little fingers to the bone ever since.? I was worried that I wouldn?t have the discipline to manage myself and it turns out (although I still need work on balancing out my time) I find it hard to quit sewing as opposed to the other way around.? I?ve been in 4 craft fairs and learned something from each of them.? I also exhibited at the San Mateo County Fair where kids could come make their own crafts at my booth.? That was a little trickier and I?m not sure I have the hang of it yet, but it was fun regardless.? Unfortunately I was just turned down for the Bazaar Bizarre over Thanksgiving weekend, but it was bound to happen sooner or later.? I would have preferred never but ?them?s the breaks, kid.?
Now I?m focusing on creation and design more so I can get a product line of my own ready ? not just stuff I like to make but specific items I design that I intend to replicate on a regular basis.? So far I have only two items that are solely my ideas: a scarf and a changing pad.? I hope to add to those and get a more cohesive line of items that go together for group purchases and gift baskets.? I?ll keep you posted on any of this on my business website: www.mscraftypants.com.? Check it out and feel free to leave feedback or suggestions on what you see.? That is the whole point of the website.?
